The Offline Device Lock feature addresses the situation where a phone gets disconnected from the internet, and the device is locked automatically even when it is in an offline state. Lastly, users could already send a remote lock signal via Google’s Find My Device. However, the Offline Device Lock comes to provide another solution by locking the phone if the internet remains disconnected, thereby blocking unauthorized access to the phone.
Remote Lock: Quick access to device locking
The Remote Lock provides a convenient means of locking a phone without requiring anyone to sign in to a Google account. Instead, users just have to lock the phone through a phone number and quick security challenge without having to sign in to Find My Device.
