j-hope of BTS is treating fans to another exciting release with his upcoming digital single, “MONA LISA,” dropping on March 21. This follows closely after “Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel),” which was released on March 7, making it his second song in just two weeks.
A tribute to unique beauty
“MONA LISA” is a hip-hop and R&B track that draws inspiration from the world-famous painting, comparing an irresistible person to Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece. However, rather than focusing on external beauty, j-hope highlights how someone’s true charm comes from their uniqueness and personal essence. Known for his expressive storytelling, j-hope once again delivers a meaningful message.
j-hope surprises fans with a live performance
Before the official release, j-hope gave lucky fans an exclusive first look at “MONA LISA” during his solo concert, “j-hope Tour ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ in BROOKLYN,” held at the Barclays Center on March 14 and 15. His smooth choreography and effortless stage presence electrified the audience.
After the performance, j-hope shared the deeper meaning behind the song, saying, “MONA LISA is a song that expresses my love. Simply put, ARMY is my masterpiece.” The heartfelt dedication sparked an outpouring of cheers from the crowd.
Kicking off a sold-out North American tour
j-hope’s Brooklyn concerts marked the start of his North American tour, which has already proven to be a massive success. Both nights were completely sold out. The overwhelming energy from the audience reflected just how much fans had been waiting for his return to the stage.
The tour will continue with 12 performances across six cities, including Chicago, Mexico City, and Oakland. Notably, on April 5 and 7, j-hope will make history as the first Korean solo artist to perform at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.
