Samsung’s One UI 7 Beta program to start today in Germany, check eligible countries

Samsung Galaxy users were waiting for the release of One UI 7 based on Android 15, its next iteration. However, this year’s rollout would take much longer than earlier anticipated, thus diverging from the normal timeline put in place by Samsung for its annual rollout. With the public beta confirmed by the company (via Android Authority), it remained vague regarding the time of release. New leaks now present the idea that the beta could finally land on the devices sooner than estimated, maybe even today.

    Prolonged speculation surrounding the launch

For the past few months, there have been reports after reports speculating about One UI 7’s release. Predictions come and go without official confirmation, leaving users in an excited wait. Max Jambor, a reliable source from AllAboutSamsung, recently showed that Samsung may start rolling out the beta starting today (December 5), which was according to his earlier prediction of an early December release.

According to Jambor, the Galaxy S24 series would probably be the first that would receive beta. Early availability is to be seen in Germany, though the United States and South Korea also are likely to make it in the first wave.

    Supporting evidence from additional sources

Further evidence comes from another leaker, CID, who published screenshots of a chat session with Samsung support. In the chat, the representative is said to have confirmed the December 5 launch date, coupled with an official-looking graphic to invite users to sign up for the beta. As always, chat-based confirmations are not very reliable, but the consistency between these reports has given more credence to the claims.

Despite the leaks, Samsung hasn’t made an official statement with regards to the beta, leaving much to speculation.

What to expect from One UI 7

One UI 7 is supposed to bring further development of Android 15 with new features and optimizations for Samsung. So far, not much is known, but it will most probably improve performance, interface personalization, and functionality. It means that users will get the chance to test the public beta to try out all those enhancements while helping Samsung correct bugs before the mass rollout.

    Final thoughts

If the latest rumors are true, One UI 7 may start releasing as a public beta tomorrow, at least for some regions, starting with Galaxy S24 series. Indeed, this will be the first significant step for the Samsung software development team of 2024. Currently, users will have to wait till the company officially confirms such timelines.
