One UI 7 leak reveals Dynamic Island-inspired feature and other exciting upgrades coming to Samsung Galaxy!

One UI 7 is getting increasingly prominent on the rumor mill, and a recent leak just gave us a glimpse into the changes to come. This new information shows some light on what Samsung Galaxy phone and tablet users can expect with an update to Android 15.

Unlike the prior major updates, Android 15 is not much about redesigning the whole OS. It is rumored to bring more AI capabilities to the table for improving the user experience. It will try to fill up the gap between what people want and the core interface in a way that can make device usage more intuitive and fluent.

    Two-Page notification panel

According to the latest leak from SmartPrix and insider chunvn8888, a massive redesign of the notification system is coming. Accordingly, in One UI 7, the two-page notification panel is going to develop by separating notifications and Quick Settings. This has brought an organized interface and better accessibility to the users in case they want to access or handle their notifications and settings.

    Revamped system icons and apps

One UI 7 will also bring a redo of the system icons and stock Galaxy apps—no longer staying content with the Material Design direction found at Samsung for the past many years. And embracing the more recent design trend of skeuomorphism, indeed, Samsung this time seems all-in. I mean, the overhaul sees additions of depth, shadows, 3D elements to make the icons look even more lifelike.

    Dynamic Island alike feature

Notably, Samsung is very much taking a similar approach from Apple’s Dynamic Island as it introduces this feature in One UI 7. A leaked video surfaces where the status bar chip is featured to expand and turn up the ongoing timers. The feature animates its way into view and disappears differently than Apple’s, giving a unique experience for Samsung users.

    Continuity notifications

Another key feature is “Continuity Notifications”, where video calls smoothly transition between Galaxy devices logged into the same Samsung account. This feature offers seamless transfers of calls and texts across smartphones, Chromebooks, and browsers, similar to Google’s Cross-Device Services. It provides convenient functionality for users to easily switch between devices while maintaining communication continuity.

    UI element refinements

One UI 7 is also anticipated to feature more elegant UI designs, including menu navigation and button positions. These relatively minor tweaks are supposed to deliver a more fluid and visually pleasing interface for users.
