vivo is gearing up for the launch of its new smartphone in the V40 series, the vivo V40e, in India, following vivo V40 and V40 Pro. A new teaser with some specifications ahead of the expected India launch throws a little light on what to look forward to. While teasing a 3D curved display, advanced camera technology, and fast-charging feature, here’s what we already know:
Stunning display and premium design in every detail
According to the product page, the vivo V40e will sport a 6.77-inch FHD+ 3D curved display which does have a refresh rate of 120Hz. As for its design, it should be meant to serve simple yet smooth visions for gaming, video streaming, and such. The device measures at 183g, which is set to feel relaxed and light. Furthermore, vivo V40e has two unique color options: Royal Bronze and Mint Green.
Camera system: A focus on versatility
vivo has introduced the Infinity Eye Camera Module Design, referred to by the company as Ultra-Luxe Camera Art, which further adds to the aesthetic appeal of the phone.
The V40e, of course, will feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor as the primary camera while other photography options will include a 2x portrait mode. Other than that, the phone will sport an ultra-wide 8MP camera, which further increases the versatility of the device for shooting landscapes and group pictures.
There will be a 50MP Eye AF front camera for crisp selfies, the Aura Light features depend on the lighting conditions and adjust the color temperature to improve photo quality. Additionally, there are AI tools like an AI Portrait Suit, AI Eraser, and AI Photo Enhancer.

According to Geekbench database (1) and (2), the vivo V40e will run on either the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset or the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, a mid-range smartphone processor. It will feature 8 GB of RAM, just like on the predecessor device, V30e, for vast performance when plenty of applications and demanding software applications are run at the same time.
