Jimin of BTS announced the release of a remix album of “Who,” the title track of his second solo album ‘MUSE‘. ‘Who (Remixes)’, set for release on July 23, includes a total of seven tracks: the original and instrumental versions of “Who,” as well as Acoustic, Rock, Shibuyakei, Funky, and Beautiful Mind remixes.
Diverse remix styles
The Acoustic Remix enhances the original song’s boldness by incorporating the acoustic guitar, highlighting the sweetness of Jimin’s charming voice. The Rock Remix reinterprets the original song in the Grunge Rock genre, featuring intense electric guitar and powerful drums, boasting even stronger energy than the original song.
Shibuyakei and Funky Remixes
The Shibuyakei Remix is an arrangement inspired by the Shibuyakei genre that dominated J-pop in the early 2000s. It is based on a lounge house style rhythm and combines guitar and synthesizer sounds to heighten the excitement. The Funky Remix adds a funky guitar and synthesizer sound to the disco rhythm characteristic of the electro-funk genre, offering a different charm from the original guitar performance.
Beautiful Mind Remix
The last Beautiful Mind Remix is a minimal and chill interpretation of the original song’s emotions. The calm but bouncy rhythm and the well-placed chorus create a hopeful atmosphere.
