Xiaomi Mix Fold 4: The new thinnest foldable from China to rival Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6

The countdown has begun for something that most have been eagerly awaiting. You got it right, we are talking about the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, scheduled for July 10. Well, this time, it might not be a Samsung exclusive event. Another strong competitor from China, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is rumored to be lined up and prepared to take on Samsung’s foldable.

In a fresh leak by the noted tipster Evan Blass on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 has now come out in all its glory. Indeed, considering that it is from Blass, the authenticity of this leak holds a lot of credibility.

    Striking design and impressive specs

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is more than just make-up; it packs in a lot of heavy-duty hardware. The leaked image reveals a slim, neat design. What really impresses is the specs—and that’s with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor to invigorate the power bundled under the board. Tying all of this together is a very powerful 5,000+ mAh battery for a foldable known for its thin track record.

When closed, the Mix Fold 4 could be less than 10 mm thick, which would make it an elusive competitor in the race for the thinnest folding phone, neck-and-neck with major rivals such as the Honor Magic V2.

    Advanced Features and durability

The leak by Blass also points to several other high-end features. It will offer support for wireless charging and sport an IPX8 rating, which means it should handle being submerged in water without too much drama. If not, then the camera’s rather interesting: a 50MP shooter with a Leica Summilux lens, in line with previous leaks about the device.

Moreover, the Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station (via PhoneArena) has further added more detailed specs posted on Weibo. According to the tipster, Mix Fold 4 will sport a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 16GB of RAM, and an expansive 1TB of storage.

    Cutting-edge technology and launch details

Besides the impressive specifications, another leak has revealed that Mix Fold 4 will come with two-way satellite communication and also support for 100W wired charging. The weight of the device will range between 220–240 grams to provide the device with sturdiness without compromising its lightweight nature for easy portability.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is coming in the third quarter of this year, likely around September, and it will have siblings with a Mix Flip model. As we wait for the proper announcement, what’s certain is that the foldable smartphone wars are on, and joining these wars will be Xiaomi as a strong competitor against Samsung.
