BTS is nearing a full reunion, as members RM, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook are just days away from completing their mandatory military discharge. On June 6, 2025, their agency, Big Hit Music, released an official statement announcing that the group is preparing for a gradual reunion as the remaining members conclude their duties.
BIGHIT MUSIC requests fans to refrain from visiting discharge sites
In its official notice, BIGHIT MUSIC emphasized safety concerns regarding the upcoming discharges. The agency stated that no official events will be held at the military sites due to limited space and the potential risk of overcrowding.
“Discharge day is a day when many soldiers will be together. There will be no separate official event on the day of discharge, and each location is very narrow, so there are concerns about safety accidents due to crowding,” the statement read.
They urged fans to avoid visiting the discharge sites and instead send their support and warm wishes from afar.
“Please send RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook a warm welcome and encouragement from your hearts,” BIGHIT MUSIC added.
The agency also expressed appreciation for the ongoing support from fans, stating, “We are always grateful for the support and unchanging love that fans have given RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. We will continue to do our best to support our artists.”
BTS’ discharge timeline nears completion
The oldest BTS member, Jin, was the first to be discharged from active duty in June 2023. His return was marked by a warm reception from fellow members, excluding Suga, who was already engaged in alternative service. Later that year, j-hope completed his enlistment in October, with Jin making a surprise appearance at his discharge.
Now, RM and V are scheduled to conclude their service on June 10. Both enlisted on December 11, 2023. Jimin and Jung Kook, who joined the military together the following day, will complete their service. They will do so on June 11 at the 5th Infantry Division.
Suga, the final member still serving, began his alternative duty as a social service worker on September 22, 2023. His discharge is expected on June 21, 2025, officially concluding BTS’s military chapter.
Anticipation builds for BTS’ full return
With the group nearing full reunion status, public interest in BTS’s post-military direction continues to grow. While BIGHIT MUSIC has not confirmed any immediate comeback plans, fans around the world are eager to see what lies ahead for the seven-member group.
For now, the focus remains on ensuring a safe and respectful discharge for the BTS members from the military..
