MAMAMOO has confirmed plans to release a new full-length album in June, alongside a large-scale world tour spanning multiple continents. The announcement marks the group’s first full album release in several years and signals a major return to group activities. The upcoming album and tour are part of a global project celebrating their 12th debut anniversary.
First full album since group hiatus
MAMAMOO, who debuted in 2014, has primarily concentrated on solo projects since releasing their mini-album ‘MIC ON’ in October 2022. During this period, members Solar, Moon Byul, Whee In, and Hwasa each pursued independent music, performances, and other entertainment activities.
The agency said the upcoming release shows a renewed focus on full‑group promotions. In an official statement, the company said, “MAMAMOO is launching a global project to commemorate their 12th debut anniversary and is determined to repay the unwavering love and support of fans who have waited a long time for a full group promotion.”
World tour to span 26 cities worldwide
With the album release, MAMAMOO will embark on a world tour covering 26 cities across Asia, the Americas, and Europe. While specific dates and venues have not yet been disclosed, the agency described the tour as one of the group’s most extensive international undertakings to date.
The company added that the concerts will go beyond introducing new material. “MAMAMOO will not only showcase their new songs on the world tour, but will also demonstrate their true value as a team with live performances that encapsulate their story so far,” the statement said.
Looking ahead
More details on the album’s concept, tracklist, and tour schedule are expected to be released in the coming months. As excitement grows, the news marks a big chapter for MAMAMOO, reconnecting the group with fans worldwide through new music and live performances.
