Rosé of BLACKPINK is making her debut in the world of movie soundtracks, joining an impressive lineup of artists for the film ‘F1,’ starring Brad Pitt. Rosé will headline Track 5, titled “Messy,” as part of ‘F1 The Album,’ marking a major milestone in her career.

Produced by Ryan Tedder, ‘F1 The Album’ features a star-studded roster including Ed Sheeran (“Drive”), Burna Boy (“Don’t Let Me Drown”), Doja Cat (featured on “Lose My Mind” with Don Toliver), Madison Beer (“All at Once”), RAYE (“Grandma Calls the Boys Bad News”), Tiësto and Sexyy Red (“OMG”), Chris Stapleton (“Bad as I Used to Be”), Myke Towers (“Baja California”), and Peggy Gou (“D.A.N.C.E”).
The album closely ties into the film’s theme, incorporating elements from Hans Zimmer’s original score for ‘F1’.” Billboard reports that the project delivers high-energy visuals, including neon night scenes and dynamic racing imagery. The first track, “Lose My Mind,” featuring Don Toliver and Doja Cat, was released ahead of the full album launch.
Rosé’s excitement for ‘Messy’
Rosé expressed her excitement on social media, writing,
“The F1 movie opens on June 27th. I’m so excited to share my first movie soundtrack with you all! It’s finally happening!! This movie is going to be amazing.”
A teaser image accompanying her announcement shows a race helmet emblazoned with “F1 THE ALBUM” and the names of contributing artists, with Rosé’s name listed prominently alongside Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy.
This marks Rosé’s first participation in a movie soundtrack since her solo music gained global attention, particularly following the success of her hit single “APT.”

Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick), F1 stars Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula One driver who returns to the racetrack to mentor a struggling team, Apex Grand Prix. Javier Bardem plays Ruben Cervantes, a former teammate, while Damson Idris portrays Joshua Pearce, a rookie driver determined to make his mark.
‘F1 The Album’ is set for release on June 27, 2025, with the album now available for pre-order.
Behind the soundtrack
Kevin Weaver, Atlantic Records’ West Coast President and known for his work on ‘Barbie The Album,’ ‘Twisters: The Album,’ and ‘The Greatest Showman,’ oversees the soundtrack. Working alongside Weaver are Atlantic Records’ Brandon Davis and Joseph Khoury. Joseph Kosinski and Jerry Bruckheimer are serving as executive producers for the album
Rolling Stone has previously praised Weaver as a soundtrack guru. His involvement adds significant weight to the project, which aims to capture the high-octane energy of Formula 1 racing.
Special celebrations at the Miami Grand Prix
To celebrate the launch of ‘F1 The Album,’ a special activation event will take place at the Miami Grand Prix. Fans and VIP guests will experience an immersive recreation of the APXGP team’s garage. This will bring the world of ‘F1’ to life just steps away from the real F1 paddocks.
